Brief encounter in the wild garden


Deer in the afternoon

I was almost shouting out of surprise. In early evening, a young, pretty deer rustled about almost 10 m next to me in my wild garden and peacefully chewed on my plants. We looked at us, me disbelieving, found the deer quite bold. Both we continued our jobs. It grazed and I continued reading. A moment of unity. In the Universal Self? Or just whishful thinking? You guessed it, I read a guide to meditation.
